Robert Lewis Long, Sr.

Mr. Robert Lewis Long, Sr. was born October 9, 1957, in Clarksville, Tennessee to the union of James Long and Mildred Whitlock. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his residence in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Robert was educated in the Montgomery County Schools. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

Robert was a hard worker. He worked many jobs including Averitt Lumber Company, Electrolux, Landscaping and was the owner of a cleaning business.

In his spare time Robert enjoyed spending time outdoors and with his grandsons. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, James Long, Sr. and Mildred Whitlock, his loving and devoted life partner Evealine Jackson.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Dr. Robert Lewis Long, II, daughter, Kayla Christine Long, grandsons, Robert “Tripp” Lewis Long, III and Ezra Thaddeus Long, siblings, Mildred Dennis, Marie Long, Glen Long, Earl Long, cousins, Katrina West, Audriana West, Dewayne West, Jr, a host of other relatives and friends.
