Mother Gloria Jean Bush-Scales

Mother Gloria Jean Bush-Scales was born June 9, 1962 in Macon, Mississippi to the proud parents Mr. LB and Mary Jane Bush. She departed this earthly tabernacle on October 14, 2024 at Tennova Medical Center.

 Early in age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Mt. Zion MBC in Cliftonville, Mississippi; and then became a member locally at Ogburn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served on the Mother Board.

She received her education from public schools in Macon and graduated from Noxubee County High School. After high school she extended her education and attended East Mississippi Community College in Mayhew, MS. Where she received her certification in Early Child Development.

Gloria worked at Kiddie College Day Care center in Columbus, MS for 2 year and then went on to work as the head cook at Wilson Elementary in Brooksville, MS. 

 Gloria met the love of her life in the 11th grade. Mr. Willie H Scales. They were married on March 22, 1981 and to this union they were blessed with four Children.

Mother Scales loved to cook, travel with her husband, and spend time with her children and grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Willie B. Bush, Ruth A. Williams, and Mary L. Brooks.

 She leaves to cherish her memory: Husband- Willie H Scales Sr. Children: LaTonya R. Scales, Willie H Scales Jr. (Tara), Trey A. Scales, Jaquarion J. Scales. Grandchildren: Ariyanna Scales, Ava Ware, Uriyaj Ware, Isabella Scales, Treasure Scales, Ki’avion Scales, Cali Scales, A’Trevion Scales, and Nova Scales. Siblings: Lillian Harris (Johnny Brooks) Roberta Stewart (F.L. Stewart), Mary Henely (Sylvester Henely), Bennie Bush (Roxanne Bush), Sister-n-love: Janice Jones, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
