Ernest Parks

Mr. Ernest Parks, III was born May 10, 1955 in Kansas City, Mo. to the union of Ernest, Jr. and Odessa Parks. This fruitful life came to an end on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Veterans Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ernest was educated in The Kansas Public Schools. After High School he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served from June 30, 1972 till Jun 28, 1974. He went on to join the Army where he enlisted on April 16, 1975 and was honorably discharged on August 31, 1988. While in the military Ernest was received Medical training. After his discharge from the army he worked as a Nurse Assistant for Home Health Care and a Dialysis Technician as well as a Water Bio Medical Technician. 

In 2003 Ernest married the love of his life Linda S. Moreis. They have enjoyed over 20 years of marital bliss.

In his spare time Ernest enjoyed wood carving creations and cooking, smoking brisket was his specialty. He was a huge "super fan" of the Kansas City Chiefs Football team. He also enjoyed talking, laughing, dancing and spending precious time with his family.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and son, Eric Parks.

Ernest leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Linda Parks, sons, Stephen Parks, Ernest Parks, Shanita Parks, Erina Parks, brothers, Richard Parks (Karen), Andre Parks, Shawn Parks, Michael (Lisa) Parks, Robin Parks, Sonya Parks, friends, Francis Dunbar, Laura Bacon, Mark Williams, and a host of loving and caring nurses, M/CU at VA Hospital, Respiratory are Kesha and Kat.
