Charles Haywood

Age 94, passed away August 21, 2021, at Signature Healthcare of Clarksville.
Charles was born January 20, 1927, in Winona, Mississippi to the late George and Marguerite Haywood. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosie M. Timbers Haywood, brother George Haywood Jr, sister Fannie Lee Albea, grandsons Michael W Harris, Jr and Robert Eric Harris and infant granddaughter, Anitra Jennae Brown. He retired from the US Army after 22 years of service and was employed at Ft Campbell for an additional 36 years. Charles was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his 4 daughters, Karen (Charles) Boyd, Jennifer A. Roberts, Margaret (Dwain) Harris, Charlene A. Haywood; son Charles L Haywood, 16 grandchildren, 28 great children and 3 great-great children. Homegoing services will be held Saturday, September 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Hooker Funeral Home. Mask will be required, and attendance will be limited due to COVID concerns. Services will also be streamed via Hooker Funeral Home Facebook page. Visitation will be Friday, September 3, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Hooker Funeral Home. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Clarksville.
