Mrs. Chanelle Faye DeBeau Pender was born at Charity Hospital, on
April 24, 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Ervin P. DeBeau
and Ada Marie Landix. She was the first of five children and was called
home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Chanelle was
preceded in death by her parents, Seconya DeBeau(sister) and grandson
Isaiah T. Pender.
Chanelle accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Rock
of Ages Baptist Church in 1969. She received her education in Marrero,
LA graduating from LW Higgins High School. Chanelle then went on
to join the US Army obtaining the rank of Sergeant. She received her
certification as a surgical technician from Charity School of Nursing.
Chanelle was employed by Dr. Werner at Two Rivers Surgical Center
for 22 years.
In 1980, Chanelle married the love of her life, Mr. Aladdin Houdini
Pender and to this union two children were born. Jacobi Pender and
Brianna Pender (Cherry)
Chanelle was a proud member of Faith Outreach Church, where she
served as a faithful and dedicated greeter, affiliated with the Faith
Outreach programs serving the less fortunate in the community.
Chanelle’s favorite scripture was; Ecclesiastes 3:1 and her favorite song
was Take Me to The King by Tamela Mann. She loved her husband,
children, and grandbabies. She loved cooking, watching old shows like;
Matlock, Perry Mason, and The Golden Girls. Other than being at
home, church was her favorite place to be. Eating sweets, laughing, and
talking about world events were another pass time pleasure, as well as,
making sure her grandbabies were SPOILED with her love.
Chanelle leaves to cherish her memory; Husband-Aladdin Pender,
Children- Jacobi (Vanessa) Pender, Brianna Pender (Cherry), Siblings-
Jerome DeBeau, Clarissa DuBois and Veronica DuBois.
Grandchildren- Jacobi Pender II, Iyanna Chanelle Pender, Jeremiah
Pender, Nehemiah Cunningham, Kash Cherry, and Prosper Cherry.
Godson- Marquis Griffin, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and
other friends.
Funeral Thursday, September 8, 2022, 11am at funeral home. Inurnment at a later date at Kentucky West Veterans Cemetery.
